Laredj, 71

I’ve always been a fan of photography. I’m originally from Martinique, and I had a very large garden. I love trees.
I used to be a journalist. I’ve always loved the Leica brand, and I often took pictures of trees.

If I had to choose an image, it would be that of a beautiful tree. On the Left Bank, near the bridge behind Notre Dame, there’s an old weeping willow that’s over a century old. It’s located in the Square du Vert Galant. But if you happen to come across a beautiful tree that you’d like to show me, I’d be delighted.

This photograph could depict several trees or a forest. I love harmonious scenes. To me, nature and landscapes are truly exceptional. A tree is like a living being. It is an element of nature that we must respect.
