I’m thinking of a photo taken in Aix-en-Provence. A view of Aix, of the city’s fountains. I’m thinking of the one at the top of Cours Mirabeau. It’s an avenue that runs through the city center. The fountain is located at the very top of this street, right in front of a café called “Les Deux Garçons.” There are two or three other fountains along the way. You can recognize it because it’s covered in moss, hence its name, “La Fontaine Moussue.”
It’s a hot spring that steams a little, especially in winter. When it’s cold, there’s a light mist. It’s a beautiful sight.
This image reminds me of my college days. That’s also where I had my first date with my husband. What’s more, we missed each other that day. I waited for him for an hour on the café terrace. He was waiting for me at a different café. We found each other later. I’d like for the fountain and the café to be visible.
I hadn't thought about this place in a long time, and it brings back some wonderful memories. My son told me he didn't know much about our family history. This photo would be a good starting point for me to tell him about it.
