Pascale, 60

I saw a monument in Paris that I really like. While I was in the taxi on my way to the Institut Curie, we missed our chance to take a picture. It’s the Orthodox Church in Paris. I love the church, but also the Eiffel Tower in the background. I tried four or five times to take this photo, but with the taxi, we’re often in a hurry, whereas it takes time.

If you feel inspired, you might also want to include part of the bridge in the frame to give a sense of the Parisian setting—it could show both old and new; don’t hide the buildings that might not look very attractive.

I’m passionate about Paris. I have some beautiful books about the city. I hope my daughter will have them when I’m gone.

I saw the Atget photo exhibition; it was magnificent. I’d love to have a black-and-white image and a small print. I’m totally hooked on the photos anyway.
