I’ve been thinking about your project since our last meeting. I drew a picture of myself in profile, blowing on a dandelion—it reminded me of the photograph of the waterfall you took for another patient. I imagine myself blowing on that flower, just as I might blow on my tumor, which would drift away like the dandelion’s petals. When there are no more left, my tumor will be completely gone too. When I can, I’ll take a picture of a dandelion in a gust of wind, and I’ll think of you. I’m going to keep this drawing as a memento of your project. It’s beautiful; you have to keep it going.

I’m thinking of a photo of a few dandelion flowers from a full dandelion, with some of them starting to drift away. A close-up shot, perhaps a reflection or a macro photograph. It’s a beautiful symbol of the wishes I still have to make. Dandelions are a beautiful image representing the idea of life. Where there is life, there is hope. It would be a very inspiring image for me. A fairly large-format photograph. I’m thinking of something poetic—poetry in the image. I trust in your talents as a photographer and in the collaboration we’ll have.
