I live in Picardy, near Abbeville. I’d love to have a photo of Paris—specifically, the Eiffel Tower. I’ve never taken the time to go see it up close. My husband and I are planning a weekend trip to Paris. It’s a lovely symbol of Paris, a city I don’t know very well. I’m not thinking of any specific photograph since I’ve never been there, but rather a black-and-white image.

Paris also reminds me of my cancer, because of my stay at the Institut Curie. And at the same time, this photograph could be seen as a sign of a plan—the plan to go there.
